First held in 2008, Racks by the Tracks is entering its sixth year stronger than ever. Although we love beer, BBQ and live music, our chief motivation in putting on this festival is to make our community and region a more exciting and vibrant place to be.
Last year, the festival sold out the 2,000-ticket craft beer tasting event, and in excess of 9,500 people attended the festival. Our festival attendees come primarily from Tennessee, Virginia, North Carolina and Kentucky. The demographic profile of festival attendees is primarily affluent, educated, and younger than the local population as a whole.
Racks by the Tracks is committed to giving back to our community. Through the years, our festival has benefited Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee, Sullivan County Humane Society, Relay for Life, Keep Kingsport Beautiful, Downtown Kingsport Association, KNETIC, and the Kingsport Area Chamber of Commerce.
The festival’s principals are Kanishka Biddanda, and James Phillips. For inquiries about our company, please email us at info@racksbythetracks.com.
