ABOUT THE BANDS

DIAMOND RIO: 8:00pm

Diamond Rio at Racks by the Tracks

Diamond Rio signed with Arista in the early 90′s and embarked on one of the most successful careers in country music. The band has sold over 10 million albums earning three platinum and five gold records and won the Country Music Association’s Vocal Group of the Year award four times as well as netting two Academy of Country Music Awards in the top Vocal Group of the Year category and thirteen GRAMMY ® nominations. When they debuted in 1991 with the hit “Meet in the Middle,” Diamond Rio became the first group in the history of country music to have a debut single reach No. 1. They continued to place 32 more singles on the Billboard chart, including “How Your Love Makes Me Feel,” “Norma Jean Riley,” “Beautiful Mess,” “Love a Little Stronger,” and “One More Day.”

Webb Wilder: 6:00pm

A legendary “A” list Roots-Rock musician, a B-movie film star, cool enough to have a Credo, a DJ formerly on XM Satellite radio, and an Electrifying Artist seen on MTV, CMT and NPR.  There is no beginning or end, just an eternal Webb. There are roots rockers, and then there’s Webb Wilder. For over 20 years, Wilder has mined rock ‘n’ roll’s most hallowed ground, but unlike so many others, he has approached it all with a rare irreverence and wit. His self-effacing persona—a tongue-in-cheek 1950′s noir character, equal parts high school principal, tent preacher, and private detective—gives Wilder’s music a sense of fun and imagination often lacking among his peers. Judging from the fact that Wilder was inducted into the Mississippi Musicians Hall of Fame recently, (the home office for rock and roll), a good time is guaranteed for all who attend his live shows.

Blues Legend Mac Arnold & Plate Full O’ Blues: 12:00pm

Mac Arnold

Mac Arnold’s first band includedJames Brown on piano. Mac moved to Chicago and Muddy Watershired him on the spot. He toured and recorded with the Muddy Waters Band and recorded LPs withOtis Spann and John Lee Hooker. Mac moved to Los Angeles and produced Soul Train with his friend Don Cornelius. He even played bass on the Sanford & Son television show when he wasn’t playing bass for Otis Redding and B.B. King. He retired from show business to be an organic farmer. Mac is back with his own band and a “plate full” of CDs, building a new foundation in blues, soul and funk.
